Suited For Success is a private, non-profit umbrella organization operating with Safe Space, Inc., which is committed to assisting clients as they work toward economic self-sufficiency. We collect and distribute appropriate clothing and accessories to clients who are job-ready and are interviewing for employment. Participants are referred by approved community agencies. Betty's Basement is a volunteer-operated thrift store connected with Suited for Success where the public may purchase items for a donation that is used to fund Safe Space and Suited for Success services. Information and confidential referrals for all Safe Space services are available to the public in this location as well.
We collect clothing through volunteer organization clothing drives, professional organizations, area retailers and private donations. Volunteers sort and size the clothing and work with clients in providing them with two interview appropriate outfits. Once a client secures employment, Suited for Success then provides him/her with up to five additional outfits.
Who Benefits:
Suited For Success donations are not charity – the professional clothing is earned by people making sincere efforts to enter the work force. Sometimes the only thing holding someone back form employment is a lack of appropriate clothing.
What Do We Accept:
We accept both men's and women’s gently worn professional clothing and accessories. We can best utilize Plus Size clothing and any clothing which can be worn on interviews and/or in a work environment.
We ask that all clothing be cleaned, pressed and on hangers. We would appreciate it if all buttons and zippers are in good repair. Specific items accepted include; suits, dresses, blouses, shoes, scarves, jewelery, handbags, hosiery, makeup, toiletries and other accessories.
Drop off at:
Suited for Success location in the Park Street Mall, 27 W. Park in Butte, between noon and 5 p.m. weekdays.
Currently, both of the Glacier Banks on Harrison and the Power and Puff Gym (2100 Harrison, in the EnergyComm building) accept donations of items for Safe Space, our clients, and Suited for Success during their regular business hours.
In the event you must make arrangements for donations to be picked up, please call Safe Space at 406-782-9807. Please include your name and address when dropping off items.
All donations are a charitable, tax deductible contribution. Safe Space will provide tax documentation for your donation.
